Non-Pharmacology Pain Management on Neonate: A Systematic Review

ntroduction: Neonates undergoing treatment often experience pain and painful procedures. Proper management needs to be done considering various cases in neonates with different experiences causes. This study aimed review the effect of non-pharmacological interventions on neonates. Methods: A systematic was conducted investigate non-pharmacology Studies were obtained from Proquest, Clinical Key for Nursing, Science Direct, EBSCO databases. limited Randomized Control Trial studies published between 2015 2022, using subject headings synonyms as keywords: neonate, neonatal, newborn, management, level. Next, JBI (Joanna Brings Institute) used evaluate journal quality, thematic analysis data method. Results: The search identified 659 relevant studies, 19 have met criteria. Nineteen articles show that effective premature term infants are a sweet solution, skin stimulation, positioning, audio olfactory stimulation. Twelve journals discuss comparisons interventions, six positions like facilitated tacking, hammock, swaddling, holding, nesting. Five combined management. Most (12 journals) breastmilk odor stimulation breastfeeding. also proved multiple more than one type intervention. Conclusion: case-tailored practice selecting right combination will help reduce increase comfort.
